Head of Fleet Management / ECM3

Total responsibility for the fleet management department with the subject areas Operational fleet management, production control and fleet management (motor vehicles) Technical and disciplinary management of the field management including target agreements, performance assessments, personnel development and organisational development Ensuring vehicle availability, operational safety, cost-effectiveness and quality for AVG and VBK fleets Perception of the overall responsibility of the ECM3 function according to EU Regulation 2019/779 Decision on vehicle releases, restrictions on use, vehicle withdrawals and other safety-related measures Strategic control and prioritisation of maintenance measures to achieve availability and business objectives Responsibility for budget planning, budget monitoring and economic resource use within the department Representation of the company to supervisory authorities, auditors, certification bodies, manufacturers, service providers and other external partners Cooperation on vehicle procurement, modernisation projects and the further development of fleet and availability strategies Control and coordination of measures in vehicle malfunctions, accidents and exceptional operating situations Willingness to continue training as an operating manager*in BOStrab

Successfully completed academic studies (Master or Diploma) in the fields of automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, transport or a comparable discipline Multiannual leadership and professional experience in technically shaped organisational units Knowledge of fleet and maintenance management as well as in rail vehicle technology and in motor vehicles Extensive knowledge of EU Regulation 2019/779, ECM functions and relevant legal and technical regulations (including BOStrab, EBO, AEG, PBefG) Experience in Budget Control, Controlling and Economic Assessment Representative leadership, communication and social competence Very good knowledge of German in word and writing (min. C1) High level of responsibility and security awareness as well as strategic and analytical thinking Decision strength, negotiation skills and the ability to make safe decisions even under high time and success pressure High operational readiness as well as the ability to successfully solve complex conflicts between safety, economics and operating requirements
