Act as the direct interface to the 1st-level support teams within the local organizations Perform on-site installations of new equipment at customer locations; in accordance with work instructions, you will be responsible for the alignment and adjustment of highly complex assemblies, fault novel malfunctions, and corrective actions for challenging technical issues Perform service and maintenance on our equipment, both by phone, remotely, and on-site; in your role as a ZEISS brand ambassador worldwide, you will independently carry out troubleshooting and fault rectification Take primary responsibility for investigating systematic sources of errors, independently analyze, resolve, and document malfunctions, and prepare and conduct technical training sessions for 1st-level support teams and customers in English

Your Profile Successfully completed degree in Electronics, Optoelectronics, Automation Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Physics, or a comparable qualification as a technician Relevant professional experience in technical service within the semiconductor industry, special-purpose machinery, or a comparable industrial sector Willingness to undertake several-week international business trips (approximately 60% travel) and a high degree of flexibility regarding working hours and assignments Open-mindedness toward different cultures; demonstrated intercultural competence, especially in the Asian region, is an advantage Excellent communication, teamwork, and assertiveness skills, combined with a strong enthusiasm for challenging technical problems and a balancing service oriented, hands-on mentality Very good command of English
