Our team develops and operates economic models for quantitative analyses. We therefore advise specialist departments in federal ministries and associations in decision-making processes in topics such as tax policy, family policy and social policy. It often happens that our figures determined in the context of the law impact assessment e.g. in the evening.

You work independently as well as in the team to implement solutions for the economic policy issues we are addressing, in particular in the fields of education, equality and tax policy. You analyse socio-economic microdata with regard to these issues. You carry out simulation calculations and empirical studies and present them to our contractors and to the public (e.g. press representatives). You support us in the design, development and operation of microsimulation models. In doing so: mathematically reconstruct legal texts and prepare microdata to be integrated into existing models. you have a view that existing models are adapted to new legislation at regular intervals and the data will be forwarded to the future.

In the course of your work as well as a possible doctorate, you can also write and publish scientific texts.

You have successfully completed your academic studies (Master / Diploma) with a focus on economics or an adjacent subject area and bring passion for applied science. In addition, sound knowledge in one or more of the following areas is advantageous: Their high affinity for data and numbers is particularly important for this job. You bring first practical experience in the application of empirical methods for economic research and consulting. You have knowledge of Stata, R, SPSS or Visual Basic and already applied in studies or in the job in practical projects. You are ready to work in common programming languages (e.g. Java and Python) as well as corresponding development environments with our help and ideally enjoy programming. In addition, you are interested in the empirical analysis of social policy, equality and tax policy. What is also important to us: You like to take their own initiative and act in a solution and practice-oriented manner. You are inspiring for our specialist topics and are keen to help our customers with well-founded answers. It is essential for us to be prepared for help. You bring very good knowledge of German in word and writing. You are ready for occasional missions and for representation at congresses and conferences.
