We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Adelberg at the close possible date.

Wodeer Technology Europe GmbH was founded in 2018 and focuses on the development, sales, technical support and production of customized sensor and actuator solutions for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. This new location includes our office space and will therefore serve as our future production base in Europe. Production is scheduled to start by the end of 2026. Adelberg is a peaceful village surrounded by nature, located between the districts of Göppingen and Rems-Murr-Kreis.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components and tools, including the creation of detailed drawings and bills of materials (BOM), with a focus on functionality, cost-efficiency, manufacturability, customer requirements and internal design specifications
• Manage the entire design process: from research and ideation to creative conceptualization and final design
• Support design engineers at WODEER China by reviewing and correcting mechanical designs and technical drawings
• Contribute to the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process by verifying compliance with customer requirements as well as design specifications
• Lead technical discussions with customers, suppliers and internal teams when required
• Develop components based on specifications and ISO standards, using CAD software and performing tolerance analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Good knowledge of sensor technologies, including position, speed, pressure and inductive sensors, especially in powertrain or electric drive applications, is a plus
• Familiarity with prototype and product development processes
• Expertise in plastic component design and a solid understanding of plastic materials
• Good knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, tolerance design and stack-up analysis
• Advanced CAD modeling skills, ideally with CATIA
• You are detail-oriented and well-organized
• You are fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus
