At the University of Bremen, in the field of 1 (physics/electrotechnics), the Institute for Electrical Drives, Power Electronics and Components, at the earliest possible time, is a place as Laboratory Engineer:in (m/d) Pay group up to 12 TV-L with the full regular weekly working time (39.2 hours). Parttime work is possible in principle. Details may be agreed with the compartment 1 . Job description: The focus of the research areas of the Institute is on the design, construction and commissioning of electrical drive systems, converter systems and test systems for power semiconductor components. These include the design and construction of analog and digital circuits, control cabinets, inverters, protection systems and engine test stands. The Institute for Electric Drives, Power Electronics and Components, with its numerous industrial partners, is researching various future-oriented topics in the field of electric drive systems for renewable energies, electromobility, mechatronics and industrial drive systems. It expects an interesting and varied activity in both technical and IT. 1. Engineering activities, including: Responsibility for the supervision of laboratories and experimental fields operated by the Institute Development of new experimental facilities Participation in the processing of research projects Tasks in the field of occupational safety

Implementation and management of internships, including: Construction and commissioning of internships Instructions and support of students in the training trials Selection and procurement of materials and components for student works General tasks in the administration and supervision of students
3. User and Computer Management in Windows, Linux, etc.: Programming and adaptation of the software Operation, administration, monitoring and extension of existing simulators, such as MATLAB, PLECS, SIM-PACK, ANSYS Build and manage existing license servers and integrate new license servers

A completed university degree (Bachelor, FH Diploma) with one of the following priorities: energy technology, drive technology, power electronics or a comparable focus, as well as many years (at least 3 years) relevant professional experience Experience in the construction and connection of electrical test setups Experience in testing electrical systems and devices Finded knowledge in programs for schematic design and for creating electronic circuits and circuit board layouts Experience with programming languages and the willingness to participate in the development of software Experience in technical safety Very good mastery of the German language in word and writing (CEF-Level B2) Very good English knowledge of Word and Writing (CEF-Level B2) Self-employed and careful working High level of team and organizational capability Flexibility and reflectivity. Technical English would be desirable. If a grouping into the EC 12 TV-L is not possible due to the lack of existing relevant professional experience, a grouping into the EC 11 TV-L will be considered until the necessary professional experience is reached, provided that the other conditions are met.
