Number: MER0003WVO The core competence of the RD/ET center is the development and testing of electrical drives and transmissions as well as all essential drivetrain components, such as side and hinge shafts. Only the perfect combination of all components gives a system that ensures driving pleasure, driving comfort and optimal efficiency. The RD/ETX department is responsible for the first electric drive (eATS2.0) internally developed and internally produced by Mercedes-Benz, which is used both in the compact vehicles and in the vehicles of the middle class up to the top class including AMG. From the volume segment to AMG, this drive provides a wide range of power and torque. The PLE & System eATS2.0 Plus team develops the powerful AMG eATS derivatives, as well as the successor of eATS2.0 for the MB.EA-L platform. Our team consists of 6 highly motivated and friendly colleagues who are looking forward to your support. We attach great importance to communicating at eye level, directly and in regular exchange dates. In addition, it is important for us to deal constructively and honestly with each other. Mobile work is regularly used by us. The internship “Seriesentwicklung eATS2.0 Plus” includes thematic support of the control communication between development and series, the documentation of requirements and the processing of a selectable technical topic around the eATS. An additional component is the introduction of the topic AI into the processes of drive development. The topics include: Participation in the development reco with AMG incl. AI-based protocol management and agenda voting

Support in data maintenance and load book documentation around the electric drive

Selection/processing of a technical topic around the electric drive incl. Tracking, communication and regular reports

Implementation of AI support in close cooperation with teammates

The activity can begin from March 2026.

Higher Education Studies Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, or Comparable

Safe handling of Microsoft Office

Affinity for work in the digital environment including its tools and AI

Experience in the field of development drivetrain, sound knowledge in the field of eATS or hybrid development of advantage

German and English skills

Reliable processing of complex problems in interdisciplinary teams

Communication and team capability, loadability
