Research assistant Senior Consultant (m/w/d) Faculty of Electrical Energy Systems and Information Technology at the Chair of Electrical Energy Networks & High Voltage Technology (Deferred to the 13 TVöD Group) From 01.06.2026, first sought for three years in full or part-time. One of the key focuses of the Chair of Electrical Energy Networks & High Voltage Technology is research in the field of resilient, sustainable and economical energy supply. The public energy network forms the backbone of each energy supply. Our research focuses on innovative solutions for implementing resilient energy networks. In order to ensure secure and reliable networking, individual boundary conditions must be identified and observed. An exceptional infrastructure is available at the chair. The existing infrastructure can be used, for example, to carry out extensive investigations on components of the energy supply.

You investigate and analyze network connections to the public energy network You investigate possible disturbance scenarios and identify risks, potentials and synergies in known boundary conditions You take over the development and design of optimized and resilient network connections as well as the development of control strategies for network operation You test components of energy supply and carry out technological calculations of energy systems You take over communication with external research partners You support the presentation of research results and their publication as well as the perception of tasks in teaching

A scientific higher education (master, magistrate or diploma) completed with at least the grade “good” in electrical or energy engineering and management, energy and process engineering, physics or comparable engineering disciplines Knowledge of German at least C2 of the Common European Reference Body for Languages RESEARCH You have experience in the field of energy networks, e.g. in switching systems construction You have practical experience in energy supply and project management You have first experiences in the field of simulation (running tools) or Programming (Python / Matlab) VAS FOR UNS Teamability as well as independent, structured and responsible procedures Enthusiasm for the topics and research areas of the project Strong interest in research, joy in scientific work and the development and implementation of own ideas You agree to participate in a T2 security check You confess through their entire behaviour to the fundamental freedom of democracy in the sense of the Basic Law You have equality and diversity competence
