The Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung (BBSR) is looking for the unit WB 2 ''instruments for reducing emissions in the building sector'' in Bonn at the closest possible time Student Assistant (m/d) Application deadline: 04.05.2025 Start of contract: Bonn Duration of employment: limited to 31 December 2026 Weekly hours: 7 h Remuneration: 13,89 € gross per hour Place of work: Bonn The Federal Institute for Building, Urban and Spatial Research (BBSR) in the Federal Office for Building and Spatial Planning (BBR) is the Federal Institute for Research in the Business Unit of the Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB) for the areas of urban development, spatial planning, housing and construction. The BBSR also implements a wide range of support and investment programmes in the field of climate protection and urban development. The WB 2 unit advises the BMWSB on technical-scientific issues of climate-friendly construction. It continuously contributes to the development of energy-saving regulations, in particular the Building Energy Act (GEG). Projects of contract and self-research are used for this purpose. It also operates the website GEG-Infoportal (www.bbsr-geg.bund.de). The information portal is aimed primarily at professionals who professionally deal with tasks and issues relating to the GEG, but also to citizens interested in deeper information about the GEG. In addition to the legal regulations, the unit also deals with other political instruments to reduce CO2 emissions in the building sector. Support for the technical maintenance of the GEG-Infoportal website Setting new and editing existing articles, problem analysis, troubleshooting, archiving Content cooperation on the website, including when writing and revising articles or in the search and analysis of relevant content Support for the design, development and implementation of ongoing and future research projects on the GEG as well as other topics related to climate protection and energy efficiency, including through research activities, e.g. as a basis for market analysis, and evaluation of energy consumption and cost data Cooperation with other units

Expected: Student enrolled in the field of construction, engineering, environmental science, communications, law or related disciplines. What we need: Safe handling of common office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office) and interest in incorporating into new software tools Experience with editing websites via content management systems, e.g. Government Site Builder (GSB) is beneficial Interest in energy efficiency and climate protection Understanding complex, possibly also technical relationships Very good written and oral expression in the German language (at least the language level C 1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference) Understanding legal texts and structures is advantageous Ability to work independently after appropriate incorporation Joy in team collaboration and an open-minded and helpful way of working.

The working time is regularly 7 hours/week. The fee is €13.89 gross per hour. The work can be done predominantly as a mobile work in the home office. The presence at the office in Bonn may be limited to a few days in the quarter. There should be a readiness to attend Bonn in this context.
