Your mission In our VA Division you develop and realize innovative end-of-arm tools and mechatronic solutions with electrical components and printed circuit boards for our vacuum automation systems. You translate requirements into robust, standard designs, ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety standards and supports internal stakeholders as well as customers with reliable, high-quality solutions. Your tasks Construction & development You develop and construct new products, components and systems according to project requirements and piab standards – from idea to series maturity. CAD & schematics You first set up 3D models, drawings and specifications in CAD (ideally SolidWorks) and reads, first and care electrical and pneumatic circuit diagrams that support design, production and service. Electronics & Construction You select suitable electrical and electronic components, mount and wire electronic modules and assemblies according to schematics, layouts and work instructions and perform precise manual and automated soldering according to applicable standards. Testing & commissioning You carry out functional checks and visual inspections on equipped modules, use your PLC/SPS know-how (e.g. Siemens) during commissioning, troubleshooting and optimization, and make sure that all electrical works are performed in a standard and safety-compliant manner. Cooperation & Development You work closely with R&D, production, quality and product management across the entire product lifecycle and actively pursue new technologies, trends and regulatory requirements in the field of product design.
