System Engineer (w|m|d) – Infrastructure & Network

In the second quarter of 2025, we plan to transfer the location of the ADAC Luftrettung gGmbH from Munich to Oberpfaffenhofen (Weßling). You're looking for more than just a job? In your role as System Engineer (w/m/d) – Infrastructure & Network, you make sure that our networks are not only stable, but also well protected and efficient. From the planning and optimization of complex network architectures to the integration of innovative technologies to ensuring high availability and defence of potential attacks. You deal with complex challenges and make sure that the technological basis for life-saving operations works reliably. Make the future of air rescue safe – at the ADAC air rescue! Network Management and Development - You plan, implement and operate our network infrastructure. Together with external service providers, you can use the administration and optimization of LAN, WAN and WLAN as well as hardware such as routers, switches and access points. This is how you can ensure a smooth operation and a steady further development. Focus on IT security and server infrastructure - you configure and maintain network security solutions and manage physical and virtual server landscapes. You make sure that our systems remain protected and efficient. System stability and problem solution - With your use, you guarantee a high availability and performance of our IT infrastructure. Analyze and resolve technical problems in 2nd and 3rd level support and implement effective backup and recovery concepts. Innovative Projects and Knowledge Management - You are introducing yourself into exciting IT projects, such as migration to the Azure Cloud, the integration of new technologies or the modernisation of infrastructure. At the same time, you’ll talk to thought-out documentation and handbooks for a sustainable knowledge base.

The theory sits – you have a completed training in the IT field (e.g. specialist in system integration) or a completed study of (economic) informatics or a comparable area. Professional experience – You can already demonstrate several years of professional experience as well as practical knowledge and relevant specializations. Know-how You bring deep knowledge in the administration and configuration of network components and are experienced in dealing with virtualization technologies as well as network technologies and protocols such as VLAN, VPN, DHCP, DNS, BGP and OSPF. You have experience in the planning and implementation of storage and backup solutions, use monitoring and diagnostic tools and ensure that all compliance policies (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001) are complied with. You are also familiar with hybrid cloud environments based on Microsoft. Your certifications in the field of network technology (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) and knowledge in ITIL complete your profile. Implementation - You implement and maintain security solutions such as firewalls, NAC and IPS/IDS and manage Windows and Linux servers in hybrid environments. Precise and structured operation - You work precisely and structured, even under high pressure and in time-critical situations. Keep an overview, ensure security and find efficient solutions. You bring the ability to cope with complex problems, always maintaining relevant standards and adhering to best practices. Communication - Very good knowledge of German (min. C1 level) and sound knowledge of English as well as safe and targeted communication, especially when switching security aspects to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
