The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS Children's Village Saarbrücken is a children's and youth aid association with stationary and outpatient assistance for education, diverse measures of youth employment assistance and a child protection advisory centre. These are supplemented by the open work at the centre of mothers, in a contact point for homeless young people, two projects of school afternoon care and the project „Frühenhilfe“.
