Quality Manager Space for Augsburg (m/f/d)

In the context of the development and modernisation of ESA’s launcher rockets, you will be in an interdisciplinary project team to ensure the product quality of a variety of space components at the Augsburg site. Your industry knowledge in the national and international space environment allows you to build on existing customer and supplier contacts. Your long-term professional experience allows you to participate in development, production and integration processes as well as acceptance processes.

This position requires readiness to travel, usually in the national environment.

Ensuring the product quality of a variety of space components at the Augsburg site Ensuring development, production and integration processes and acceptance processes for Ariane components with the focus on tank structures and structural components at the Augsburg site Implementation of quality assurance audits at renowned European space suppliers in Germany Developing technical reports in English and carrying out presentations of work results with customers Compliance with technical and terminological project milestones within the range of tasks assigned to you Communication with customers ESA/DLR and all project partners:in English Application of space regulations in your daily work

Complete study of mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering (TU/FH) or comparable training Ideally multi-year experience in quality management in space, aerospace and/or product and quality assurance Funded knowledge of ECSS regulations and a good understanding of relevant tools and methods First experience in the supply chain of carrier rocket programs as well as in test management desirable Negotiations and presentation skills, positive appearance in dealing with international partners: inside and outside flowing to very good German and English knowledge in word and writing, French knowledge desirable
