IT Network Specialist for cUAS (Counter UAS, Drone Defence) (m/f/d)

The police office deployment, logistics and technology (PP ELT) is “DER” service provider of the police Rheinland-Pfalz. The expertise and competence of the seven divisions of the PP ELT include the specific operational support at national and federal level (professional police and special units) as well as the operational competence on the naval waterways of the country (water protection police). The tasks of procurement, technology and health management are carried out in national responsibility for all police authorities and for other authorities and organisations with a safety mandate from the Rhineland-Palatinate. In addition, the management of the staff and the budget as well as the premises of the Bureau are included. Locations of the Bureau are located throughout the federal state. Accommodations in Mainz, Enkenbach-Alsenborn, Koblenz and Wittlich-Wengerohr are supplemented by a total of seven water protection police stations and external offices as well as the location of the police helicopters in Winningen. The start of the PP ELT operation is 2017; the number of employees is about 1,850 persons. In order to strengthen the special units department, we are looking for one or more IT-Network Specialist (m/w/d) für cUAS (Counter UAS, drone defence) (code: 3/2/SE/2026) Place of service: Mainz The Special Units Division as part of the PP ELT supports the police authorities in carrying out operational measures, in particular in connection with the fight against organised crime, gang and violence, and politically motivated violence. In addition, the special units are responsible for the tasks assigned by police service regulations (PDV) in the management of special situations and the implementation of protective measures for vulnerable persons. As part of this department, the surgical centre (OTZ) is planning and implementing measures in the fields of electronic education. In addition, he is responsible for the planning and implementation of future-oriented, technical solutions in cooperation with other specialist departments of the Rheinland-Pfalz police, as well as authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS) at federal level. These technical solutions are subject to continuous adaptation and permanent reorientation to meet the requirements for technological progress.
