Building on a comprehensive analysis of existing network architecture and taking into account customer-specific needs, our network experts design individual network solutions. To strengthen our Team Network & Security, we are looking for a IT Systems Engineer (m/w/d) Campus & Datacenter Network in Leipzig. You have multiannual professional experience and are familiar with network architecture, automation and IT security? Your new task:

• Planting and implementing modern network infrastructures: You analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions for campus and data center networks. You install, configure and use network components such as switches, routers, firewalls and access points, both in classic and hybrid and cloud-based environments. Migrations, rollouts and system integrations are carried out independently and document your work in operating manuals and documentation.
• Technical advice in the presales and project environment: You support our sales in the technical evaluation of customer requests and alerts. You bring your know-how into offer creation and effort estimation and present solutions convincingly in workshops, presentations and reviews. You will advise our customers on topics such as network segmentation, VPN solutions, security policies and automation techniques.
• Operation and support of network systems: Ensure the smooth operation of LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructure, perform maintenance work, updates and patches, and perform error analysis and troubleshooting in 2nd and 3rd level support. You continuously monitor the networks with modern monitoring tools and optimize their performance – including bandwidth management, latency monitoring and fault diagnosis.
• Sic production of quality and compliance: You implement security policies and measures, including network segmentation, access controls, intrusion detection & prevention, and zero trust concepts. You support compliance and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and standards, for example by integrating automation solutions and security monitoring.
• Customer support and communication: You enter our customers technically in the daily business and in projects. You work closely with Service Desk, Service Account Management and Sales. You train users as well as IT managers with the customer and support the introduction and use of network management solutions.

This is what you bring:

• Completed technical training or completed study of computer science or a comparable course of study.
• Multi-year professional experience as a system engineer or network administrator, ideally in the system house environment.
• Deep expertise regarding network architectures and topologies, network security (Firewalls, Segmentation, NAC, Zero Trust, IDS/IPS), network automation and configuration management, and Routin g protocols and Switching technologies and WLAN design** and network access control**
• knowledge of market manufacturers and solutions, such as Fortinet, HPE Aruba and Cisco.
• Understanding Server operating systems (Windows/Linux) and virtualization technologyn.
• Promote motivation and commitment to advance new topics in the area of Network & Security.
