Further development of the network strategy and evaluation of new technologies in this area in cooperation with the team team colleagues Joint development and implementation of network security concepts planning, operation and optimization of the central wired network infrastructure and the WLAN infrastructure with the other team members responsible for this topic, Planning and development of the campus fiber network in the areas of campus and building infrastructure Joint management of various central network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP) Reliable and service-oriented processing of technical requests via our ticket system in 2nd and 3rd levels

Area-oriented, scientific university degree and at least three years of relevant professional experience Experience in the planning and administration of complex, heterogeneous network infrastructures, at best in large network environments (>10.000 access ports) Found experience in managing and configuring network switches (e.g. CISCO, Extreme, ARISTA, Unifi) Practical experience with network bases (TCP/IP, VLAN, VXLAN, VPN, NAT, DNS, DHCP etc.) as well as dynamic routing protocols, especially BGP German knowledge (C1) and English knowledge (B2) Personal skills: Systematic, efficient, solution- and target-oriented operation Embossed communication and team skills Willingness to continue Ability to communicate complex IT skills in a comprehensible manner and to develop solutions together with users of different levels of experience Remarkable are: Deep knowledge of routing and switching technologies and network security Basic knowledge of Open Networking platforms (e.g. sonic, Pluribus) Experiences in the field of automation with e.g. Python or Ansible Experience of using Linux as a platform for organization-critical applications of high availability
