for the Competence Centre for Social Work and Social Policy The amount of employment is 100% The Competence Center is directly assigned to the Board of Management and forms the strategic development of the work field, together with the team management of Social Work.

You lead the competent and dedicated team of the Competence Center together with the team management social work in professional, human and financial responsibility. You coordinate the social-political representation of the association and the Caritas Baden-Württemberg in cooperation with the board. Together with the members, the Caritas regions and the Caritas Association for the Archdiocese of Freiburg, You develop and coordinate social policy positions. You are responsible and coordinating the coordinated lobbying of these positions towards the political actors at local, regional and federal level. You represent the association in political talks, to ministries, in the bodies of free welfare care in the country as well as in the bodies of the German Caritas Association and develop the political network of the association. You ensure and strengthen the high quality of the existing work, communication and network structures, develop them in line with requirements and forward-looking manner and promote cross-departmental cooperation in the association. You actively contribute to the strategic orientation and further development of the association.

You have a completed, subject-related study or a comparable qualification. Technical knowledge in one or more fields of work of social policy and social work is desirable. You have well-founded experiences in social policy representation and political lobbying as well as a strong understanding of political decision-making processes and communicative competence. You ideally have sound management and leadership experience as well as a high level of solution and decision-making competence. You have strong team skills and are happy to work in competence-based and interdisciplinary contexts. You are willing to contribute to the objectives of the Caritas and to cooperate with them.
