Commercial Pricing Actuary – Longtail

Responsibility for the development and further development of global pricing models for longtail jumps, in particular in the field of casualty insurance Working in cross-departmental projects, for example to increase data quality and optimize processes Checking and validation of technical price adequacy and underlying model assumptions to ensure the accuracy and reliability of pricing models Support in establishing and continuously developing pricing guidelines and effective pricing governance Building and maintaining trusted relationships with underwriters and actuaries worldwide with the aim of promoting a global consistency and continuous improvement in technical pricing Conception and implementation of regular pricing training for underwriters and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen understanding of pricing concepts, methods and models

Successfully completed master's degree in insurance mathematics, mathematics, statistics or a comparable degree programme A recognised academic qualification (e.g. DAV, SAV) is advantageous Professional experience in actuary pricing, ideally focusing on longtail jumps and technical pricing models High level of self-responsibility as well as the ability to independently adopt and proactively promote issues Secure handling of statistical software (e.g. SAS, R, Python or Emblem) as well as sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel Impressed communication skills and competence to act in an international environment as a specialist and Sparring partner: High team orientation and the ability to cross-departmental cooperation with underwriting, actuariat and IT Extensive curiosity for new technologies, in particular in the field of Generative AI, and the willingness to continuously develop practical expertise Very good knowledge of English (C1) in writing and word as well as knowledge of German (B2) in writing and word are of advantage No one is perfect and not all career paths are straight.
