The content of the professorship includes the further development and use of a VR/AR laboratory. The associated development and simulation methods are to be used in teaching and research in the Bachelor and/or Master's degree programmes in the field of mechanical engineering. The control of one or more 3D CAD systems is expected. We are confronted with new ideas and concepts for expanding and supplementing the curriculum (e.g. methods and tools of PDM/PLM, reverse engineering, project management or data science methods) and research in the field. The range of tasks also includes courses on basic constructive topics and the support of students in the practical semester or when preparing project or final work. The willingness to participate in academic self-government and to conduct courses in English is expected.
The mechanical engineering department seeks a dedicated engineer or a dedicated engineer of mechanical engineering or closely adjacent specialist disciplines with relevant industrial experience and extensive knowledge in the development of technical products by means of digital methods. The applicant or applicant is competent to represent the area of appeal in teaching and research.
