Number: MER0003W2L Mercedes-Benz Cars Procurement & Supplier Quality (MP) introduces: the MP area is responsible for an annual purchase volume in the double-digit billion range and ensures the quality of the corresponding components. In partnership with around 1,500 suppliers in Germany and abroad, the necessary materials are provided for the worldwide production plants of Mercedes-Benz Cars/Vans. Locations in Germany, Hungary, South Africa, China, India, Mexico and Argentina ensure close proximity to production. New challenges exist in particular in the areas of autonomous driving, connectivity and alternative drives.

The Center MP/X will introduce you: MP/X is responsible for the module purchase of conformation parts, for the project management of the Van series and for the purchasing parts quality of conformation parts. In the module purchase, we carry out benchmark analyses of the supplier market as part of tenders, conduct contract negotiations and are responsible for the global selection of suppliers and thus for the development of global sourcing strategies. These challenges come to you, among others Working in purchasing in the supplier management process

Participation in purchasing in preparation for negotiations with suppliers

Design of cross-functional cooperation with development, cost planning, quality assurance, logistics, controlling and production plants

Participation in designing the material group and supplier strategies of the buyer team

Working with demanding projects

Development and development of methods, procedures and standards

Creation of request documents, offer summaries and decision documents in the context of new assignments as well as the establishment and comparison of different business cases by means of predicted piece numbers

Organisation of workshops and preparation of negotiations

The activity may begin from February or March 2026.

Course in Business or Technical Studies or a comparable degree course

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing
