Senior Technical Assistant in the field of maize and oleaginous fruits (m/f/d)

For the KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA we are looking for a dedicated senior technical assistant (m/w/d) in the field of maize and oil crops for the Native Traits and Digital Phenotyping Team. The position includes a diverse range of tasks in the application of breeding technologies, greenhouse management and seed management in the context of plant breeding. This exciting and varied position is unlimited and full-time at Einbeck. Your duties Practical implementation of feature developments, e.g. resistance and quality features in sunflower, corn and sorghum Independent planning, coordination and implementation of established research projects in the field and greenhouse Support in the development and establishment of new protocols and methods (e.g. fieldphänotyping, digital tools) Provision, management and documentation of seeds and care of relevant database systems Self-employment planning and technical guidance of assisting staff Routine analyses and quality control of digital phenotyping data Careful preparation and analysis of experimental data in close cooperation with scientists:inside

Your profile Completed training for ATA/PT or comparable qualification Very good practical experience in working with plants and seeds; Knowledge of plant breeding Safe handling of PC applications and common office software as well as interest in digital technologies Teamability, communication strength and cooperative working High motivation and reliable, careful and independent working Good English knowledge of word and writing Ready for weekend work at seasonal peaks readiness for international missions (about 25 %) High willingness to start the working day early due to practical work requirements
