For the department ''AIR SIGINT Embedded SW'' at the Ulm site, we are looking for a Senior Test Engineer (m/w/d) The department is responsible for defining and developing complex software systems for airborne education. Efficient and innovative technologies, processes and tools are used here. In the role of the Senior Software Test Engineer (w/m/d), you are responsible for the independent design of scalable test infrastructures, test architecture and test strategy. The object also includes the definition of standards and the decision on necessary test tools. In addition, you will ensure the integration of the test environment into a CI environment.

Definition of the total test strategy for the distributed SIGINT system Architecture design of the Python-based test system with focus on a high degree of automation Conception of scalable test infrastructures Definition of standards, frameworks and coding guidelines for the implementation of the test Integration of GUI test automation (Squish) into a modular overall test architecture Interface to SW system architecture, development and system integration team Decision on test tools and technological orientation Ensuring non-functional protection (performance, robustness, stability)control of complex fault analyses in distributed systems Building reproducible end-to-end test environmentsResponsibility for sustainable maintenance of test architecture

Long-standing experience in testing complex, distributed systems Deep understanding of architectures in distributed systems (communication protocols, data flows, state management) Very good python characteristics, especially in the field of test automation Long-standing experience in building and expanding test environments with high degree of automation for stable use in CI test pipelines Good knowledge of virtualization and container technologies (e.g. VMware, Docker, Podman) Ideally experience in the SIGINT or comparable safety-critical environment Embossed communication and team skills Very good knowledge of German and English
