The department The Department of Civil Engineering, Transport and Green (Fachbereich 66) takes over a central function for life in Hildesheim. It is responsible for numerous tasks relating to municipal infrastructure, the development of public spaces and the safety of transport.

These include the construction, entertainment and operation of roads, roads and squares as well as cemeteries, green areas and playgrounds. The department also takes care of the cleanliness of roads and green areas and the winter service. In addition, Section 66 is responsible for the collection and provision of urban geodata. The traffic authority of the city of Hildesheim is also located here. Its tasks include, inter alia, the granting of temporary exemptions and concessions and the approval of construction sites. The department is divided into four areas. In total, around 200 employees work here at five locations. Your area The designated area is assigned to the 66.1 – road design and new construction. The team of around 15 employees is responsible for the design and construction of roads, the coordination of infrastructure projects, the support of engineering structures and flood protection. Your office is located in the administrative building Markt 3 in Hildesheim.

The expansion of the Hildesheimer Binnenwasserhafen combines challenging tasks in engineering with a long-term significance for the city. You accompany the projects from initial planning, procurement and implementation to billing and work together with different departments, authorities, engineering offices and waste management companies. In particular, you will take over the project management of re- and new construction measures of the municipal inland water port and the associated infrastructure as well as tasks of the building management. You... take over the project management for infrastructure projects in the performance phases 1 to 5, prepare the award of HOAI services and accompany them, develop and support the creation of applications for funding; accompany and evaluate the commissioned engineering offices, the HOAI process the performance phases 6 to 9 including the local construction monitoring of the contracted companies; create lists of services and tendering and award documents; present planning in the political bodies, anticipate construction measures taking into account the respective promotion policies; provide evidence of the use of funds; and Construction measures with other relevant departments, authorities and waste disposal companies are in line with the regulations.
