The Clinic for Intensive Medicine (116 beds) is responsible for all adult intensive patients:inside the University Hospital. An interdisciplinary team of intensive care physicians:inside (internist:inside, anaesthetist:inside, neurologist:inside, surgeon:inside) supervises the patients together with the colleagues from the respective specialist departments. Each station has its own focus and specializes in the treatment of certain diseases. All diagnostic, monitoring and therapy methods used in modern intensive medicine are used in the clinic. One focus is on the treatment with extracorporeal organ replacement methods, the clinic is among other things a center for the treatment of patients: inside with ARDS (acute lung failure). All beds have a bedside electronic documentation system (PDMS). This position is fixed according to WissZeitVG according to the qualification target of the person to be hired (promotion 3 years, habilitation 5 years). An extension is avised.
