Engineer I&C DC Systems (m/f/d)

As an operating specialist for DC systems, you play a central role at the interface between operation, projects and technology and are responsible for the construction and further development of the reliable operation of complex control systems in our HGÜ, E-STATCOM and battery storage systems in cooperation with colleagues in the central plant operation. In close cooperation with the operating teams, you identify operational and technical requirements for control systems and thereby build a central expertise for the DC systems. In addition, you ensure the functionality of new plants already during the project phase and by supporting the technical standardization. This ensures that new automation and operating systems are compatible with the operation of the system and plant operation and, if necessary, you will demonstrate requirements for operational development. In fault management, you will prepare technical disruptions along with the operating teams and plan necessary rebuilding measures for improvements or renovations. Last but not least, you represent your field of expertise internally and externally in secondary technical bodies and thereby contribute to a predictive and integrated operation of the systems.

You have a degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification. In addition to your expertise in the functioning of power-electronic converter technology, you are familiar with the construction of highly available control systems. With communication and moderation skills, you will seek targeted, professional exchange with stakeholders. Their structured, analytical and solution-oriented working methods promote effective team cooperation. Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing and a class B driving licence bring you with.
