As a medical department manager in the forensic psychiatry, you take over the technical and organizational management of two stations of the Vitos Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry Riedstadt. For your department, you are responsible for the human leadership and development of your employees in the therapeutic team. As an important part of the management team, you contribute to opening a delict-free perspective for your further life to our patients who have become criminal due to their illness.

As a doctor or doctor in the Forensic Psychiatry, you are responsible for the diagnosis and assessment as well as for the therapy planning with medicamentary and psychotherapeutic treatment of mentally ill people who have become criminal due to their disease. Your work is very versatile as you work not only mentally, but also psychologically and criminally. You take risk assessments, implement evidence-based treatment concepts and work with justice, police and social services. The special aspect of work in a forensic psychiatry and one of the strengths is a well-founded risk assessment as well as an intensive relationship building and a close, long-term accompaniment by the long residence time of the patients and a higher staff strength compared to the general psychiatric. As an important member of a multi-professional team, you contribute to helping our patients become a delicious life. With the aim of showing people new ways of safe return to society.

You are a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy. Experiences in the forensic psychiatry and/or experience in leading function are desirable. You maintain a communicative and esteeming leadership style. In addition, you will understand how to develop employees and gain new professionals.

The forensic psychiatry in Riedstadt is a modern and humanly well-equipped measuring standard clinic of the so-called ''Sog. Section 63, which provides 156 treatment places for psychiatricly ill legal criminals for the federal state of Hessen. The clinic treats adult mentally ill legal criminals who have been accommodated in accordance with §63 Criminal Code or according to § 126a Criminal Rules. The clinic has the full training empowerment for the focus on forensic psychiatry (24 months) and supports you as part of your forensic further education. We train you in criminal psychiatry prognosis instruments and support you in obtaining legal psychiatry expertise.
