Head of Finance & Controlling part-time (25 hours) (m/f/d)

Mindener Kreisbahnen GmbH forms a stable, regionally rooted group of companies with the subsidiary MKB-MühlenkreisBus GmbH. We offer solutions in the segments passenger transport with buses and rail freight transport – with a focus on reliability, service quality and sustainable mobility and logistics solutions. In 2024 we achieved a total turnover of approximately 36 million euros, our workforce includes approx. 160 employees.

From now on we are looking for Head of Finance & Controlling (m/w/d), which is responsible for the overall financial management of our group of companies. In this role, you advocate a stable financial situation, create transparency about the economic situation and support corporate governance with strategic analyses as well as sound financial basis. In doing so, you combine professional excellence with far-sightedness and contribute significantly to the sustainable development of our company.

Head & Organisation: You take over the technical coordination of a four-member team, support complex issues and support structured, efficient daily and final business operations Financial planning: You are responsible for budgeting and managing payment transactions Controlling & Reporting: You drive the further development of management reporting and KPIs of the departments as well as cost-effectiveness calculations Accounting & financial statements: The creation of the monthly and annual accounts according to HGB is your responsibility and ensures that all final processes are carried out correctly, on time and in high quality. Strategic financial advice: You are a savings partner in managing investment-related decisions and developing and evaluating business cases Digitalization & Process Optimization: An efficient design and digital development of structures and processes is one of your tasks

You have a completed business studies or a comparable qualification You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in financial and accounting, and of which 3 years in a leadership role with You analyze complex challenges and develop strategic solutions You have prioritization skills You are inspired and lead a team with empathy and successfully direct it to a common goal You have experience with financial software or proven ability to work quickly into new systems; Knowledge of Diamond and Lexware is desirable You have communication strength
