Development of interfaces and drivers for connecting other systems and medical laboratory equipment to our laboratory information system (LIS)

Implementation and processing of communication protocols (e.g. HL7, ASTM, proprietary device protocols)

Analysis of device specifications and implementation of the corresponding communication logic

Integration of analysis devices and system components into existing laboratory environments

Conducting tests, fault analyses and optimizations during operation

Ensuring software quality taking into account regulatory requirements

Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

Complete study of computer science, medical informatics or comparable qualification

Experience in software development with C/C++, Java and TCL

Knowledge of the development of interfaces and device communication

Experience with HL7 (especially HL7-FHIR) is desired

Ideal knowledge in the laboratory environment (LIS, analysis equipment, workflows)

Experience in software testing (e.g. unit tests, integration tests, test automation)

Understanding serial communication, TCP/IP and data formats

Structured, analytical and quality-conscious operation
