Head of IT Infrastructure Department at the Düsseldorf location (m/f/d)

For our IT infrastructure department we are looking for you as IT Infrastructure Manager (m/d) in Düsseldorf In your role as Head of IT Infrastructure, you are responsible for the strategic orientation of our infrastructure – from cloud to network to security. Together with two experienced team lines, you will develop target images and roadmaps that will set up our infrastructure forward-looking, safe and service-oriented. In addition, you take over the area-wide responsibility for IT security. You set the strategic guidelines and prioritize measures in close cooperation with the Information Security staff, while the operational implementation is carried out in the teams – especially in the Network & Security team. Support us with our re:start IT – shaping the change. You lead the department at a strategic and operational level and consistently align the infrastructure with the team management with business, IT and service objectives You establish a AI competence with bridge function, work closely with the central AI department and strengthen the productive use of AI in infrastructure operation You lead the department into new technologies, develop structures, roles and processes, establish targeted training and empower teams to operate Microsoft 365, cloud and hybrid platforms You sync security standards and rely on principles such as Zero Trust and cyber resilience in cloud, Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments You focus on security principles such as Zero Trust, Security-by-Design and cyber resilience in interaction with cloud, Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments and strengthen their application in cooperation with information security and specialist teams You ensure the orderly transfer of new technologies to the regular operation, with clear transfer criteria to the technical specialists You actively shape and control the change process re:start IT You are responsible for IT security across the range, work closely with the information security team and ensure efficient implementation with the Network & Security team You strengthen service quality and user orientation through efficient processes and clear governance You are an esteemed partner or an esteemed partner of field management and actively contribute your expertise to decision-making

Multiannual leadership experience in IT, ideal in the context of infrastructure or IT security Detectable experience in strategic management and further development of IT landscapes identified, practical understanding of AI applications in infrastructure operations; empowers teams to use responsibly and works as a bridge function with the central AI department Successful introduction and governance of Microsoft 365, including cooperation with information security and data protection and evergreen-oriented operation Good understanding of common infrastructure and operating models, including network and security foundations for stable, secure services Experience in the introduction, operational maturity and transition of new infrastructure, cloud and hybrid services, SLA/SLO-oriented and ITSM-integrated Experience with Cloud Security in Microsoft 365, cloud and hybrid environments as well as adapting security principles such as Zero Trust Practice in the assessment and further development of security requirements in architectural and change contexts, without requiring a final strategy Experience in managing executives and controlling complex change processes Strength in Stakeholder Management and Communication with Boards, Business Management and Areas Ability to develop, communicate and sustainably implement strategies and target images High design and change competence as well as sovereign appearance Representative leadership skills in organisational development: team building, role clarification, skills through training and continuous development Knowledge about infrastructure as code and automation is advantageous
