• They are responsible for the social care of refugees in the 2-shift system (Mo–So).
• They advise the refugees for their stay in the receiving facility.
• They support the refugees in organizing and managing daily life.
• They conduct referral consultations and clearing talks.
• They support residents with mental illnesses.
• You plan and organize festivals and events.
• You organize and accompany leisure activities.
• They plan and organize work opportunities for residents.

That draws you

• They have a degree as a state-recognized educator, medical teacher, social worker, social pedagogue (B.A.) or a comparable degree, for example in the field of music education.
• They have German knowledge on at least C1 level in word and writing.
• They additionally have knowledge in English, Spanish, Georgian, Arabic, Persian, French or Russian in at least B2 level in word and writing.
• They have knowledge and experience in the fields of anti-violence, deescalation, child welfare, addiction prevention and handling of traumatization.
• They bring together intercultural competence, team skills, organizational talent and communication skills.
• Ideally you have experience in working with refugees.
• They bring interest in planning and organizing events.
• They have good knowledge of how to deal with Microsoft Office.
• You have experience in communication and cooperation with authorities.
• They bring the willingness to work in the shift system (spring/sales service) including weekend and holiday services.

Your location A total of 700 places for asylum seekers are available in the first reception facility of the Free State of Saxony. In addition to the care, the Johanniter offers social education advice, children's programme, basic medical care and a reception.
