The Reutlinger Energiezentrum (REZ) with its Master's degree programme Dezentrale Energiesysteme and Energy Efficiency has set itself the goal of advancing innovative teaching and research for the transformation of the energy system. For the summer semester 2027 or later, the following professorship is to be given at the Faculty of Technology: W2-PROFESSUR (m/w/x) Energy and energy networks Reference number 2026/064

You teach and research in the field of energy management and electricity networks at the Reutlinger Energy Centre (REZ) and take courses mainly in the Master's degree program ''Decentral Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency''. You teach the basics of the technology of electricity networks and energy-economic processes in practice. You strengthen the REZ team in the field of simulation and analysis of power grids. You engage in research, publish and advertise research funding for the REZ. In these teaching areas you will focus on your own; At the same time, you are ready to teach basic subjects in the courses of the Faculty of Technology. You serve students individually and actively and are present at the university. You actively participate in the academic self-government and in the team of the degree program.

A completed university degree and a relevant doctorate A comprehensive technical and economic understanding in the field of electricity networks and energy Ideally international experiences A relevant multiannual professional practice, preferably with leadership experience The willingness to accept teaching in German and English Ideally relevant publications and research projects Very good educational skills Intercultural competence, initiative and enthusiasm to be part of a dynamic and committed team
