We are looking for a dedicated and visionary department manager Controls & Software As Head of Controls/Software, you are responsible for the operational and strategic management of various teams and work on exciting and challenging global projects for assembly and testing systems. In Personalunion you work as a team leader in the field of software. Your main tasks as team leader include the disciplinary and professional management of the associated employees, including the corresponding capacity and personnel planning. You motivate your team and staff and develop employees according to your strengths. You are available as a contact person for complex tasks and problems in enquiries and projects. You identify and process development and optimization projects in the areas:

• Automation technology & robotics
• Cloud-based software technologies and architectures
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Physical AI Active cooperation in defining technical standards, methods and best practices for developing future control and software solutions. Active participation in the management team and participation in strategic corporate decisions and the technological orientation of the company. Ensuring successful project execution in terms of quality, dates and costs.

You have a successfully completed study in the field of electrical engineering/automatization technology or have a comparable qualification. Multiannual professional and ideally leadership experience in automation technology. Knowledge of PLC systems and automation solutions, especially with Siemens, Beckhoff and industrial robotics systems. Detectable experience in the development, commissioning and optimization of complex automation systems. Experience in the field of software development with the help of current AI tools as well as safe handling of software processes such as Dev-Ops and Git-Ops. Experience with methods of data technology such as data science or data mining. Innovation spirit and joy in establishing new technologies and methods in the company. Proactive, pragmatic and solution-oriented mode of operation. Strong communication, moderation and coordination skills. Entrepreneurial thinking as well as a high cost and quality awareness. German language skills (at least C1) and very good English knowledge in word and writing. Standing for occasional national and international missions.
