As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

In our team we design and develop professionally effective software products for Germany using modern technologies and methodology. In agile DevOps teams we live Continuous Life, e.g. in which we continuously increase the degree of automation of our work and devote ourselves to topics such as cloudification, IoT or artificial intelligence. As a result, we accelerate the digital transformation and sovereignty and jointly ensure the digital sustainability of our country.

Your profile:

Complete computer science studies or comparable training

At least five years of relevant professional experience in the DevOps environment

Very good knowledge of deployment automation with Ansible and the administration of Linux server systems

Very good experience in using Kubernetes and Container Technologies

routine in dealing with the tools used by CI/CD toolchain (including GitLab, GitLab-CI, SonarQube, Nexus, Harbor) as well as in the creation and maintenance of build pipelines

Knowledge of script languages (e.g. Python, Ruby) and command-line interpreters (e.g. Bash, Powershell)

Experiences with software development environments within the BWI (especially SDE, DevLabPro)

High performance motivation, high level of initiative and independent work

Embossed team and communication skills, sense of responsibility, care and perseverance

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Your tasks:

• As part of our team, you are responsible for the architecture, implementation and operation of our software development platform based on Kubernetes and Cloud-native principles
• Monitoring, Troubleshooting and continuous optimization of the container-based development platform during operation
• Supporting the existing software development platforms in various security domains
• Safeguarding the development platform according to IT basic protection and other requirements as well as creating information security concepts
• Work in agile and virtual teams across multiple locations
