Data Warehouse Data Engineer (gn)

HORNBACH Baumarkt AG grows and with it the data volumes. To support our Data Warehouse team, we are looking for new heroes for which Data Warehouses are more than just databases.

Integration: As a Data Waithouse Engineer (gn), you take the integration of new data sources into the Teradata database as well as the implementation, support and optimization of ETL processes and charging scripts. Develop: You will also create complex applications such as the integration of data from APIs or applications using AI and ML methods by programming in Python and database-related SQL programming. Interface: Together with stakeholders, you develop KPIs and reports/applications and translate the requirements of the departments into data models, key figures and reports. Conception: You design, realize and address data models, reports, visualizations and dashboards in Strategy One. Consultation: You advise the areas of ad-hoc analyses, automation requirements of evaluations as well as statistical and AI-based applications.

Qualification: Through a completed technical or economic studies or a comparable qualified activity, you could already gain experience in the technical and content support of a data warehouse system and the conception of data models. Expertise: You have expert knowledge in Python, ideally also in Unix/Linux (sh, awk, bel). Database Know-How: You have well-founded knowledge of relational databases, optimally the database system Teradata and its tools related to data modeling, SQL development, ETL processes, performance aspects and administration. Tools: Good knowledge of the report development for tabular and graphic visualizations and the creation of control instruments with professional BI frontend tools (optimal Strategy One) are more than just nice to have.
