The Department 2 - Data Processing of the University Administration is looking for a full-time job at the next possible time Head of Department*in IT applications The Department 2 is one of the central IT areas of the University of Bonn. We operate and maintain the network, all DV systems and all DV applications of the university administration. This includes support and cooperation in the implementation of the University of Bonn's digitalization strategy, the aim of which is the long-term and sustainable digitalization of all business processes.

As a manager, you will actively promote the digitalization strategy of the University of Bonn, together with your field manager SAP and your team of currently 14 employees. They are shaping the further development of our systems in the following areas: SAP (S4/HANA), Campus Management (HISinOne), document management, innovative IT projects and information management. As Head of Department, you are responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of IT projects and for the management of the team of developers, configurators and application managers. They focus on developing future technologies such as the use of AI within the administrative structure. They provide active support in the planning and monitoring of resources (personal, budget) for our IT applications. They control external IT service providers and control their service quality. They implement and extend effective quality management of IT processes and ensure that they are traceable.

They have completed university studies (e.g. in the fields of computer science, business informatics or business) or can provide equivalent knowledge and experience. They are a communicative leader who understands motivating teams (also interdisciplinary) and spurring them to excellence. They have a high degree of initiative, analytical skills and service orientation. Practice-proven skills in IT project management, project management and process management will help you. They work independently, targeted and enjoy developing and implementing innovative solutions. Negotiating skills, a pronounced consulting talent and excellent communication skills are among your strengths.
