Senior System Engineer - Platform Operations and Automation (m/f/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. The application operation allows efficient service delivery within the shared service operation. OMG AO Application 2 is responsible for the trouble-free operation of the IT procedures and tools within the BWI and for the customer Bundeswehr. Within this field, the Application 2 department is responsible for the development, optimization and operation of the ITSM and automation processes.

IT Infrastructure Manager Installations, testing and implementation of software and configuration changes Ensuring information security compliance Monitoring, control and control of system performance and system protocols with the development of performance optimization, operational stability and avoidance ITIL and process-compliant processing of changes, incidents and problems Support and advice in IT infrastructure projects

Successfully completed IT training with very good expertise and several years of professional experience At least 5 years of professional experience in the care and operation of IT infrastructure procedures ITIL Foundation, or good process knowledge Good to very good knowledge with server operating systems, administration applications and shell scripts Good knowledge of GitLab/GitOps Approach and Kubernetes with OpenShift / Argo CD Impressed customer orientation, responsible initiative, solution orientation and team skills Very good German and good English skills Federal Republic of Germany
