The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions in Germany and is one of the leading organisations for application-oriented research. Around 32 000 employees develop the annual research volume of 3.4 billion euros. We, the Fraunhofer Institute for Research Production Battery Cell FFB, have made it our task to become the center of the development of a modern and scalable battery cell production for Germany and Europe. We work every day to create an infrastructure that enables companies and research institutions to test, implement and optimize the production of new batteries close to the standard. This is how we design the battery cell production of tomorrow. To strengthen our team at the Fraunhofer FFB's controlling team, we are looking for a dedicated team at the closest possible time, who actively supports us in controlling.

You cover projects over the entire life cycle – from costing and supply creation to approval or assignment and execution up to the final proof and final settlement. In doing so, you continuously analyze and monitor the project costs and make sure that both the financial framework and the requirements of the funding providers are complied with. You work closely with the professional project managers and advise both the management level and the project management in financial matters as well as in matters of efficient use of funds. In addition, you develop control tools and introduce them to optimize budget management and resource planning at both the institute level and within the funding projects.

You have a degree in economics or business sciences or a comparable discipline – ideally with a focus on controlling or finance. Multiannual professional experience in controlling publicly funded projects brings you, ideally in the context of a research institution. Ideally, you have already gained well-founded knowledge in budget planning, control and analysis and are familiar with controlling software and MS Excel. You have experience in accounting for third-party funding projects and are safe to handle the relevant legal and financial framework. Your work is analytical and structured, and you understand how to clearly and understand complex relationships. Very good German knowledge and good English skills complete your profile.
