Head of IT/ GIS (m/w/d)

Our customer is a company from the energy industry and is one of the leading players. The IT sector contributes a significant part to the success of the company and includes a variety of strategic and operational challenges. An essential part of the long-term business development strategy is the implementation of a comprehensive digitalization strategy. We are looking for IT (m/w/d) on behalf of our client at the next possible time in order to implement them in a focused and successful manner and to develop them continuously.

Personal and content management of the central IT division with currently about 60 employees:in the three departments IT-Development & Implementation, IT-Operations and GIS & Geodata Responsibility for the further development of the digitalization strategy as well as results-oriented and effective management of international software development and digitalization projects Responsibility for implementing the measures to further develop a globally used, scalable and secure IT & GIS infrastructure Selection and development of personnel as well as control of the structures and work processes of the area together with the department managers Support of the Heads of Division in the targeted processing of department tasks Regular management reporting on the development of the field with regard to defined technical objectives, personnel development and costs Direct management of the information security officer and internal contact person for the external data protection officer

University or technical college degree and professional and multi-year leadership experience as a general manager within a company for the IT sector (or potential sponsors from the 2nd series). Ability to develop an implementable IT strategy that matches the company's senior business strategies and objectives. Understanding the business requirements and ability to develop technological solutions that meet these requirements. Experience in the management and communication of change processes and the introduction of new technologies and business processes. Comprehensive generalistic knowledge of a corporate IT landscape, from infrastructure to cloud, architecture and software systems to security etc. experience in managing IT projects, including planning, cost assessment and control, resource management and risk analysis; Knowledge of project management methods.
