Head of Device Security Services (m/f/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. The Competence Center IT-Security (CCITS) bundles the operational IT information and cyber security competencies with the task of embracing these security services and services cross-sectionally. The CCITS acts as an internal contractor for the development and implementation of security solutions across the entire core value chain and is an operator for the associated security services. The Department “Device Security Services” is part of the Central Security Services division and is responsible for the full implementation, control and monitoring of the Services Disk Encryption, File Encryption, Secure File Transfer and Mail Encryption Endpoint and their processes. This also includes the continuous optimization of the underlying security architectures. The Head of Device Security Services is thus the central management level between department management of the Endpoint & Device Security Services and team management, and is responsible for both personnel and earnings for the department.

Technical and disciplinary management of the Department “Device Security Services”, Human Resources Development, Recruiting, Target Agreements and Coaching

Monitoring the service performance and implementation of adjustments to optimize service quality

Coordination of service provision across different platforms and terminals

Further development of the responsible security services to ensure efficiency, scalability and adaptability

Coordination with the customer Bundeswehr and all business areas of the BWI, in particular CISO, CIO and other services

Central implementation Financial planning and software procurement for all associated services

Continuous coordination with Finance, Licence, Account and Portfolio Management

Evaluation of new technologies and methods for integration into existing service architecture

Promoting integrative cooperation between service management, architecture and operation in the sense of DevSecOps

Information and advice on top management, clients and stakeholders with regard to all important assets in the area of responsibility.

Successfully completed studies of business management, business informatics, or alternatively comparable demonstrable qualification with relevant professional experience in the field of activity

6 years of relevant experience and expertise in the provision, control and monitoring of enterprise services (larger 150,000 terminals), including, but not limited to, the associated Device Security Services in the government and federal defence environment

Extensive knowledge of (financial) planning and costing of services and experience with public tenders

ITIL Certification (Foundation Level) desirable

Outstanding leadership qualities and experience in the technical and disciplinary management of specialist specialists

Analytical thinking and problem solving skills to address complex challenges

Communicative skills, including the ability to present complex, technical problems at the highest level of the company and the customer

readiness for change and decision-making and ability to criticise and enforce

German and English skills
