To make our car rental comparison even more customer-friendly and efficient, we are looking for you as (Junior) DevOps Engineer/System Administrator (m/w/d) Linux at the CHECK24 Comparative Portal car rental GmbH. We look forward to your application!

Your tasks include

• Work in the team: You complement the existing team with your expertise as a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) and work hand in hand with our developers to scale our entire systems in a growing environment. You support monitoring and analysis of applications
• Responsibility: You take over the management and setup of our servers with the centralized configuration with Saltstack and significantly supports the further development of the DevOps area and the implementation of new process structures
• Improve products: You are responsible for the setup, support and extension of the servers throughout the car rental sector and implement backup and monitoring strategies in your daily business
• Innovation by AI: You are actively engaged in generic AI (e.g. Copilot, Cursor AI or Jetbrains Junie) – both for the automation of development tasks and for the development of new features as well as for the quick and understandable explanation of code
• Implementation of projects: You continue to build our deployment processes (Continuous Integration) and take over the adaptation and creation of automation as well as automatic system configurations (scripting)

What you bring

• Practical experience: First professional experience as a system administrator (m/w/d) in Debian Linux and in rollout systems such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet or Chef. Ideally first contact points with programming languages such as Python or PHP
• Tech Stack: Good knowledge in handling the shell and configuration of Nginx, PHP-FPM and MySQL (replication, backup, etc.), basic knowledge in the infrastructure areas Network and Routing (Firewall, VLAN, Routing, etc.)
• Digital Mindset: Interested in working in Elasticsearch and Redis as well as passion and know-how regarding Docker-based Deployment environments desirable. In addition, you actively explore new technologies such as Generative AI to make your work more efficient
• Drive and Spirit: Embossed Quality Consciousness, Hands-On Mentality, Fun in Developing, Very Good Communicative Skills, Team Skill and High Performance
• Language skills: German language skills and good English skills
