For the strategic development of our software landscape, we build a central function for Python architecture. In this role, you shape the Python development in the company – from technological standards to architectural specifications, from tools to secure software supply chain.

Python Software-Architekt (m/w/d)

You define and develop company-wide architectural principles for Python applications and advise and support development teams on all questions about Python. You design a secure software supply chain and establish these as well as best practices and sustainable standards in software development. The evaluation and recommendation of suitable Python Frameworks (e.g. Web, Data, Backend, APIs) is within your task. In addition, you build a company-wide Python-Gilde and continuously develop it. You will also develop reference architectures, suitable example implementations as well as concepts and patterns for central topics such as scalability, performance, security, wartability, testability and observability. You select suitable tools in the Python ecosystem, evaluate them and implement binding standards, for example for dependency management, testing, linging & formatting, security & vulnerability scanning, build and packaging processes and development environments. Through guidelines, coaching and code reviews, you can sustain teams and work closely with the platform team to integrate into CI/CD pipelines. Secure coding practices are actively promoted by you and anchored in the company.

You have a degree in computer science or comparable training. Multiannual experience in the development and architecture of Python applications as well as in-depth knowledge of modern Python ecosystems and frameworks. In addition, you have already gained knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and ideally in the field of software supply chain security. You understand non-functional requirements and can derive sustainable concepts from them. A high self-initiative, commitment and team capacity are yours. The ability to identify, analyze, evaluate and offer solutions (conceptive and implementing) is one of your strengths as well as the ability to develop, apply and communicate with passion methods and procedures. You are thrilled with contemporary software architectures and modern software development processes such as test-driven development, clean code and agile approach. A strong and secure appearance completes your profile.

Salary: You receive a collectively regulated remuneration (compulsory contract for private insurance). In addition, you receive holiday and Christmas money as well as extensive social benefits - including an occupational pension scheme. In addition, a future-proof workplace awaits you.

Homeoffice: Depending on the location and arrangement with your leadership, you can choose between different home office models. At least two days are provided at the LVM campus. In addition to a fully-fledged technical equipment, you will receive a unique home office tray of 800 € gross.

Work-Life-Balance: Our flexible working time regulation with a 38-hour week and 30 holiday days allows you to adjust your working hours in consultation between 7 am and 8 pm. In this case, any overtime that has been completed is of course paid out or can alternatively be compensated for by leisure.
