As a transmission system operator, we secure the power supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing and expanding the high-voltage network according to needs. With our network, we not only make the country an innovative power turntable in the heart of Europe, but also make the energy system of the future significant. The system operation area is responsible 24/7 for the safe, environmentally friendly and efficient operation of the transmission network and the control zone of TransnetBW. In addition to the control of the 380- and 220-kilovolt transport network, this includes the provision of efficient IT and infrastructure systems, the trade in energy and balancing markets, HSE tasks and the development of future-oriented platform solutions for controlling the power grid. .

Your tasks • Your profile • What we offer

You develop operating, integration and system concepts for future equipment in the transmission network (further), in particular in the DC environment (e.g. HGÜ systems, STATCOM, large battery storage, power electronic equipment). Within complex projects, you assume the technical responsibility for system management and network operation-relevant topics – from the concept phase to the operational implementation. You analyse new technologies and resources in terms of their impact on network operation, system management and control systems. At the same time, you run operational processes, operational management principles and instructions for the integration of new resources and design them professionally. As a professional part, you represent the company in internal and external working groups with the aim of developing standards, concepts and methods for future network operation.

You have a scientific university degree (Master/Diplom) of electrical engineering, energy technology or a comparable discipline. To do this, you will bring a sound technical understanding of modern equipment in the transmission network, in particular in the DC- and power-electronic environment (e.g. HGÜ-Systeme, STATCOM-anlagen, Großbatteriespeicher). Complex technical relationships penetrate systemically and translate them into sustainable concepts for network operation and system management. You are looking forward to familiarising themselves with new technologies, resources and tasks and to develop professionally. Personally, you will delight in the professional work in project-based and interface-intensive environments with pronounced analytical, conceptual and communicative skills as well as knowledge in project management.
