As a senior data engineer, you are the backbone of this platform: You build the data pipelines that make usable, production-ready data from scattered raw data—and not only understand the code, but also the purchasing process behind it. Your tasks in detail: Design, design and operation of robust, scalable data pipelines on the Azure platform — from raw data source to consumer data product (ADF, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, Azure Data Explorer, EventHub)

Identification and exploration of relevant data sources in the purchasing environment: Understanding data structures, assessing quality and developing cleansing strategies

Integrating new data sources into the existing Azure infrastructure — in compliance with Group-wide security and governance standards

Design and implementation of scalable data models as well as backend features for data-driven applications and analysis products

Found, hands-on experience with Azure data services: ideally Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, ADLS, Synapse Analytics and/or Azure Data Explorer

Very good programming skills in Python and SQL; Knowledge of R or other languages are welcome

Understanding data quality assurance, data modelling and the peculiarities of production data in complex business environments

Experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps processes in the context of data operation (e.g. versioning of pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation)
