Trade Compliance ensures compliance with national, European and international export control and sanctions. The aim is to enable global business and supply chain activities in accordance with the applicable external economic requirements, while minimising legal, financial and reputation risks for the company. The topic: Requirements for compliance management systems in the field of selected US and Chinese export control regulations Your tasks in detail: Analysis of selected US and Chinese export control regulations and their compliance management systems requirements

Investigation of the impact of geopolitical developments and regulatory requirements on the trade compliance organisation of Mercedes-Benz Group AG

Identification and assessment of possible conflicts of objectives between different regulatory requirements of different legal systems

Analysis of existing elements of compliance management systems in the field of export control and trade compliance regarding their suitability to meet international requirements

Developing recommendations for action for the design and development of risk-based compliance structures and processes

Coordination with relevant disciplines (e.g. export control, compliance, law, purchasing and sales) on practical issues in the international trade compliance environment

The activity can begin from September 2026. The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.
