Senior Expert UUV Control, Perception and Sensors (m/f/d)

It develops and produces unmanned solutions of the next generation for air, land and sea in Germany for clients throughout the world. From advanced air drones to underwater and ground platforms, the systems combine state-of-the-art hardware with AI-based software to enable seamless control and real-time data evaluation.

At the newly created location in Rostock, the new Maritime Team of our customer is being created, which will comprise 100 employees by the end of the year. The mission is to become the new benchmark for data collection at sea and under water in a product: an unmanned overwater vehicle (USV), which can launch both an air drone and an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) for information purposes and for the protection of critical infrastructure in the North and Baltic Sea.

For this we are looking for you as a future:

Senior Expert UUV Control (m/w/d) Hands-on product development of a UUV and its Perception and Closed Loop Control Sensor selection (DVL, Sonar, IMU, Magnetometer), Sensor integration, Tuning and integration into the software Implementation of Perception and Control in the prototypes with product demonstration in 2026 Close cooperation with the software and AI team in Munich Close cooperation with the hardware team in Rostock Underwater Navigation

Engineering or computer science studies or comparable degree Hands-on-Mentiality as Software, AI and Prduct Developer At least 5-6 years of professional experience in the field of UUV and embedded software UUV Sensorik, USBI (ultra short base length) and DVL (Doppler velocity log), Sonar, IMU, Magnetometer Experiences in UUV Control flowing English skills, good German skills are advantageous Very high self-motivation, communication joy, “Drive to get things done and move things forward” Leadership, high analytical skills and problem-solving competence, high willingness to cooperate in a team with other developers in a multidisciplinary environment
