The Service Transition Management division provides comprehensive service management functions to deliver shared services delivery (SSD) for the transition phase in the BWI. The Service Capacity Management (SCM) department in the Technical Planning Department is responsible for building and operating the (operative) service capacity management of the logical and selected physical IT components. In the operational capacity management service, the capacity check, reservation and approval of server resources (CPU, RAM, Storage) is performed for selected areas. For this purpose, the Service Capacity Management monitors the utilisation of the host systems of the virtual servers, as well as the reservation and retrieval of resources within the framework of the deployment process.
