The area of hospital hygiene / general hygiene is part of the field of hygiene. Further areas of activity in the field include water and environmental hygiene and support for several projects in the field of environmental analysis and digitalisation at national and federal level. The full training authorisation for hygiene and environmental medicine (WBO 2004); 2021) is present in the subject area / at the LGL.

As a specialist consultancy and diagnostic service provider for the institutions of the public health service in Bavaria, the hygiene field at LGL offers an exciting workplace at the interface of many areas of hygiene and environmental medicine. At the LGL as a one-health authority there is an intensive exchange with the other disciplines in the LGL to solve diverse questions, even using the most modern laboratory methodology.

Versatile Tasks You Challenge

• Advising the competent authorities on all hygiene issues (the focus of hospital hygiene) and the prevention of infection
• Support for health services, e.g. by (in particular hospital hygiene) visits on site
• Preparation and implementation of priority monitoring programmes
• preparation of opinions and opinions
• Development of guidelines and Internet contributions
• support of laboratory tests (e.g. environmental studies, molecular biological typing methods [such as NGS] and molecular characterization of resistance mechanisms)

employment relationship / assessment

The employment is done by means of a fixed-term employment relationship up to a maximum of four and a half years. The remuneration depends on the regulations of the TV-L. The planned grouping is carried out according to the quality and personal advances in the E 14 pay group.
