As an experienced 11-person database management team, we are responsible for the database management systems used (Db2 z/OS, PostgreSQL, MS SQL and Db2 LUW) across all phases of their lifecycle. The core of your activity is to ensure the stable operation including Monitoring and backup/recover, within the meaning of Gotha's customers and independent external services You make sure that the systems we provide are on a current patch and release stand and plan appropriate migration strategies As part of the Database Services Team, you support and advise developers, test managers, projects and datawarehouse colleagues on all database questions like e.g. database designs, performance analyses and the development of optimization proposals You always work closely with our business colleagues (including Windows, Linux, Security, Production Control, Process Automation) In addition, you work with ITIL practices such as event, incident and problem management, change management, capacity and availability management Last but not least, with current documentation and creation of operating manuals for the security of the data we are entrusted to us In the case of the introduction of application relays, willingness or operations outside the working time corridor are requested and performed by you

Personally, you bring a high level of responsibility and team skills You can work independently, analytically and conceptually as needed and have problem-solving competence In addition, you have already (first) experience in support organisations based on ITIL processes and relevant ITSM tools or are already versed/r expert*in Programming skills are advantageous, as well as experience in handling Linux systems You have a corresponding training in the IT environment (manufacturer, mathematical-technical software developer, mathematical-technical assistant, ...) and, of course, we provide a corresponding specialist training Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English in word and writing complete your profile
