Federal Voluntary Service in Nursing

Do you want to do a good job after graduation and actively engage for other people? Then you're right with us. The Federal Volunteer Service (BFD) offers you the opportunity to orient yourself professionally and to gain practical experience. Support the University Hospital Dresden with your talents and commitment and get the chance to learn a lot about yourself and how to deal with other people in a dynamic team. The BFD starts regularly on 1 September each year. However, we also offer the possibility to board each year on 1 October or 1 November.

Tasks in the stationary area: Preparation and assistance in general basic care Help with care documentation and care planning Support for correct and professional implementation of arranged measures under the guidance of examinated personnel Accompanying patients in everyday life and diagnostic/ therapeutic measures Takeover of Hol- und Bringediensten in der Haus, Transportbegleitung general cleaning and disinfection tasks (bed preparation, dust wiping) ‘supply with’ or ‘delivery of’ consumables and laundry Participation in services and meetings Operational Tasks: Support for pre-, intra- and postoperative patient care Preparation and control of sterile goods, laundry and medical materials Sufficient sterile material and assistance in surgical documentation Support in monitoring vital parameters in local anaesthesia Relocation of patients and accompaniment to the wake-up room Disposal and disinfection in surgery
