Dual Student Data Science & AI in cooperation with DHBW Mannheim

As a dual student*in at Springer-Verlag GmbH in Heidelberg, you will work as part of our HR Systems team at the interface of personnel, data, data science and artificial intelligence. You develop a deep understanding of personal data, data quality, data engineering and AI applications and are involved in international personnel and system projects. The focus of your practice phase is to make the KI-ready personnel area: you identify and analyze data quality problems and their causes, document data sources, definitions and usage contexts, and help build a robust metadata management. One highlight of your practice phase will be the collaboration with Prompt Libraries and AI Agents for various personnel personnel as well as the support at Workday / Adaptive Planning Implementations, Test Cases, Data Processing and Monitoring.

Duration: 3 years of practical phases alternating with theoretical phases at the DHBW in Mannheim Start: 01.10.2026 Working time: full time (37 hours/week) Our office in Heidelberg is easily accessible by public transport. The theoretical phases take place at the DHBW in Mannheim, the practical phases in the company.
