As part of a five-member team within the framework of the MDR-KI-Desk project, you will play a key role in shaping the exciting development of our media house:

You act as a central interface between editors, media production and IT as well as the ARD-KI network. You pick up needs from the editors and develop practical, creative concepts and implement them with internal partners. You analyze and evaluate opportunities and challenges of AI-assisted workflows for topics finding, research, facts testing and content optimizations as well as AI tools for the editors. You accompany AI projects for new journalistic formats and processes from the first idea to conception to commissioning and ensure quality and strategic benefits. You provide AI-relevant content at all levels of the company and support knowledge building and transfer. You continuously monitor current AI developments, test new technologies and evaluate their potential for deployment and impact for the MDR. You enable editors to use AI applications effectively and securely.

Take this with you: completed studies in the field of journalism, media science or comparable; or qualified vocational training or multiannual relevant professional experience Multiannual professional experience in editorial work and understanding of the relevant workflows Ideally, the following qualifications and characteristics are also distinguished: Knowledge of AI (systems, data, development processes) and the ability to develop concepts for practice in the editors Comprehensive experience with editorial processes and a pronounced ability to analyze processes Very good journalistic judgement, ability to test the quality of AI content Embossed communicative skills with user focus at all company levels Experience in project management (planning, prioritization, control) and active management of stakeholders and risks Experience in planning, monitoring and communication of change processes in editors Editorial competence as well as technical content and targeting in solution finding Understanding technical workflows and media production systems as well as experience in cooperation with production plants and IT Insight into developments in the media market, in particular in public broadcasting reliable knowledge of German with regard to comprehensive internal and external communication as well as excellent knowledge of English in word and writing readiness to travel
